German star singer Max Rabe performs Friedrich Hollaender's & Rudolf Nelson's famous cabaret song "Das Nachtgespenst" (The Bogeyman) from 1930 in Ilona Ziok's internationally awarded musical film "Kurt Gerron's KARUSSELL" (world premiere: Berlin Film Festival, 1999). This song was originally sang by Kurt Gerron, one of Berlin's most fascinating entertainers of the 30s. Manuel Göttsching (www.manuel-goettschingcom) produced the sound track CD to "Kurt Gerron's KARUSSELL" for Warner and also composed and accompanied German movie star Ben Becker to Walter Mehring's "Ode an Berlin" in this movie.
