Unedited unprocessed video of the moon taken with a Canon 5D Mark II attached to a Celestron C6-A telescope on 03 December 2008. First attempt.
Canon is tripod mounted to a Celestron C-6A Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope. Lens Diameter 6.0" (152mm) Focal Length 59.1" (1500mm) Focal Ratio f/10.0. No tracking. Manual focus on telescope. 'P' setting on Canon.
Initial camera shake from hitting button but then it settles down enough. Atmospherics turbulence and wind on scope evidence in some spots. I dont know how to process video or adjust the settings manually for video yet, so for first day attempt there it is.
Best viewed at full screen; canon states video = 1920 x 1080 @ 30fps. Your mileage may vary. Méně
